We are extremely excited to announce that we have a line-up of great new products coming out next month – and a roadmap of even more cool stuff for the rest of the year, including a move to Mac OSX* and to the Web*.  But first, read about our exiting new plans for SmartPad 2.0 with automated GTD, SmartPlans 2.0 with Toodledo sync and iPad version, and SmartNotes 2.0 with wireless sync between iPhone and iPad. It’s all coming!

*Disclaimer:  Mac OSX and Web are just under consideration. We may or may not choose to go ahead with either or both of these projects.  Another disclaimer: the features shown in SmartPad 2.0, SmartPlans 2.0, and SmartNotes 2.0 are just mock-ups or in beta. Some or all of the features may not appear in the final release versions.

SmartPad 2.0 with Projects and GTDo’s

SmartPad had the #9 debut of any app on the iPad app store.  Now, we are making it even better.  SmartPad 2.0 introduces Projects with automated GTD, with our unique “GTDo’s” feature that was introduced last week in SmartCal GTD.  GTDo’s takes the currently active task from each of your Projects, and places them all into your active Task list.  Then, when you mark a GTDo task as “done,” the next one automatically flows into your list. That way, you can focus on what you need to do without the distractions of everything else in your Project list.   One-tap filters also allow you to view your day in a number of extremely efficient ways.  SmartPad 2.0 also features a number of UI improvements and simplifications. Here are a few screen shots that show what to expect.

SmartPlans 2.0 – iPad Version

Buy version 1.3.1 Now

SmartPlans is the only Project Planner available for iPhone.  It is currently listed in the Business section of the App Store as “What’s Hot.” But for a while, our users have been asking us to connect SmartPlans to our other apps.  Now that will be possible. And, SmartPlans will be available for iPad as well – for no extra cost.  (Hint: If you don’t own SmartPlans now, you might want to buy it before 2.0 is released. We will raise the price from $2.99 to $9.99.) Key features:

  • Toodledo Sync
Synchronize Projects with TD Folders, and Tasks with TD tasks.  From there, you will be able to sync to SmartCal GTD on your iPhone and to SmartPad 2.0 on your iPad. Now, you can create and manage your Plans in SmartPlans, then shoot the tasks over to SmartCal and SmartPad via Toodledo. Coolio!
  • iPad Version
SmartPlans 2.0 will be Universal, which means it runs natively on both iPhone and iPad. The iPad version will have some special design treatments and UI elements that are common with it’s brother, SmartPad.  Here are a few screen shots that show how it will look:

SmartNotes is our top selling Notes and “Idea Management” software.  It spent several weeks as the #1 business app on the App Store, last year.  Late last year, we released a Universal version that runs beautifully on your iPad. Now, you will be able to share data – including voice and photo attachments – between SmartNotes on your iPhone, and SmartNotes on your iPad.  It’s a great way to back up, and to have a larger ‘easel’ for creating your ideas and managing your notes and tasks.  Here are some screen shots of the updated UI.
