To start SmartDay Mac from any other app, or just from your desktop, here’s all you need to do:
- Open “Automator” (in your Applications folder)
- Select “Service”
- Double-click on Utilities -> Launch Application
- Choose SmartDay from the drop-down list
- Click on “Run” to test it out. It should launch SmartDay.
- Hit Command + S to save as “Launch SmartDay”
- Close Automator
- Open System Preferences
- Select Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Services
- Scroll down to find “Launch SmartDay”
- Input a Keyboard that is global (that no other app uses). I use control + option + command + S.
That’s it! The shortcut is not lightning fast, so give it a few seconds.
