To start SmartDay Mac from any other app, or just from your desktop, here’s all you need to do:

  1. Open “Automator” (in your Applications folder)
  2. Select “Service”
  3. Double-click on  Utilities -> Launch Application
  4. Choose SmartDay from the drop-down list
  5. Click on “Run” to test it out. It should launch SmartDay.
  6. Hit Command + S to save as “Launch SmartDay”
  7. Close Automator
  8. Open System Preferences
  9. Select Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Services
  10. Scroll down to find “Launch SmartDay”
  11. Input a Keyboard  that is global (that no other app uses).  I use control + option + command + S.

That’s it!  The shortcut is not lightning fast, so give it a few seconds.
