#1 Notes App for iPhone, Now on iPad

The iPad version has been specially configured to take advantage of the large screen real estate. SmartTime 4.0.1 released

SmartTime 4.0.1 has been released on the app store and includes certain bug fixes related to Google Sync. We have also submitted maintenance release 4.0.2 which fixes certain UI issues related to the Contacts list.

We are currently working on integrating SmartTime events directly with the iPhone calendar and expect to have that major release ready within the next few months.

Tip: Organize Your Week

I find it helpful to plan out my week by giving each day a “theme” or “topic.” This is a specific goal that I need to achieve, or work towards, on that day. I know I have dozens of other tasks that have to be done, and I know that I may not finish that particular theme/goal/topic. But I will dedicate the largest share of that day to completing the item, and my mind will be focused on issues regarding that item. To do this, on SmartTime I simply create an All Day Event for each goal. That way, they appear separately in the ADE pane of my Week view, as shown below.

We are extremely excited to report that SmartPlans has just been listed as “What’s Hot” on the iTunes App Store. SmartPlans follows the success of SmartNotes (#1 on productivity app in January), SmartTasks (reached #4 in February) and our flagship app SmartTime (over half a million downloads, and featured recently on the Apple Web site).

Start off by just using it as a Task Manager. Then use the Timer to time your tasks and export reports to Excel. That’s a great way to do client billing. Then start to build Plans, drop your Tasks into them, and even manage multiple Plans from the touch-and-drag Gantt Chart. Automatically Call, Text, and Map a Contact from within SmartTime

If you select a “Who” from your contacts list, and that person has a recognizable address, then SmartTime will automatically store that person’s phone numbers and place his/her address in the “Where” field. This allows you to automatically map your contact’s address from within SmartTime, using Google Maps. You can also select a different address by clicking on “Where” and selecting from the Contacts list.

Invitation to Beta Test

This is an invitation to beta test a couple of new apps that we are developing for the iPhone and iPad.

Qualifications:

1) You must have an iPhone and/or iPad
2) You must be familiar with SmartTime
3) You must live in the United States

If you meet these qualifications and are interested to help us test out some very cool new apps, please send an email to beta2010. We will then send out a questionnaire to respondents and select a very limited number for this program.

In the SUBJECT LINE, please type the name of the devices that you have (iPhone 3G, iPad, etc).
