Manage Your Contacts

SmartPlans can easily help you to keep track of the contacts that you have with specific people or customers.  This can be helpful if you want to keep track of your time to bill for services.  There are many other applications as well.

In this example, we have set up a Freestyle Plan with the name of a client of ours Acme Accounting.  We will them for the time that we spend working for them, and they would like to receive a bi-weekly report that keeps them up to date so they know how much of their money they are spending on us.

Easy.

1) Start Working

Just tap on the Project category for Acme Accounting, then tap the Timer. SmartPlans automatically creates a new Task item within that category. You can give it a name, even take notes on your task. Or you can do it later. Up to you and your work-flow.


2) Mark It Done

When you are finished with a task, there are two ways you can mark its completion. The easiest way is to select the Task item, then click on the “mark done” icon, as shown here.  Another way is to pull up the timer and “stop” the timing for that item.


3) Edit Later

If you need to revise a time, or if you didn’t have your iPhone handy while working on a task, you can edit it later.


4) Summarize and Report

When you are finished – or at regular intervals – you can view an update on the time you spend on each task, and export the results in CSV format to yourself or to your customer, by email.
