1) Flip It

From the main view, flip your iPhone sideways to view the Plans Manager.

2) View your Plans

  • Your preferred work balance shows as a red line across the lower part of the screen.
  • The stacked bar chart shows how the cumulative time of all of your Project Plans fits into your work balance.  Anything below the red line means you’re going to be okay. If the bar chart is above that line, you may want to redistribute your work load…
  • The vertical line shows where you are today.
  • Tap on the Title bar to jump to a specific month.  You can also scroll left and right with your finger-tip.
  • Tap on a plan to see its detail: Start and end dates,  number of hours per week that you need to spend on it in order to reach your deadline, and the total number of hours.
  • Note that the total number of hours is defined by you. The number of hours that you need to spend on the Project each week depends on how you set the end date.

3) Manage Your Plans

  • Select the level of zoom that is easiest for you to see.
  • Select a plan and drag it’s end date to make it longer.  Notice how the hours per week that you will need to work on the plan, decrease. You can see this in the bar chart at the bottom.
  • Select a plan and drag the entire plan to change both the start and end date.  (Note that if a plan has already been started, you won’t be able to change the start date!)
  • In this way, you can balance the start and end of your plans, and their durations, and the amount of time you will need to spend on each plan, so that you maintain a reasonable work balance.
