Welcome to SmartDay – a new way to stay organized – and connected – on your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Web. And soon, even on other Smart Phones. On January 26 at MacWorld, we unveiled SmartDay Mac and SmartDay Web.
SmartDay is different from all other calendars because it is a truly integrated organizer – it uses our SmartTime™ logic to schedule tasks for you directly into the free time in your day. All of the apps listed below feature our SmartTime™ logic. This 15-second clip shows our unique approach to productivity. To learn more, check out our interview on MacVoices TV.
SmartDay Web is our Cloud solution that ties everything together. But it’s not just the sync hub – it’s also a fully functional, web based organizer featuring our SmartTime™ logic that you can use anywhere. Over the next few months, we will be migrating our existing iPhone and iPad apps – SmartCal and SmartPad, respectively – into the SmartDay family. Here’s the roadmap:
SmartPad (for iPad)
The current version, SmartPad 2.1, syncs Events with the iPad calendar and syncs Tasks with Toodledo. SmartPad has been consistently ranked in the top 1% of all Productivity apps on the app store for over one year. The next version, SmartPad 2.2, is now in final beta and will be released very soon. It will sync BOTH Events and Tasks directly with our cloud service, SmartDay Web. The upgrade to 2.2 will be free. The will be no charge for the SmartDay Web service. Later in the Spring we will release a major update to SmartPad, with new features that reflect the app’s new connectivity. Learn more about SmartPad here.
SmartCal (for iPhone)
SmartCal also syncs Events with the iPhone calendar and syncs Tasks with Toodledo. The next version, to be released later this Spring, will sync both Tasks and Events with SmartDay Web. Learn more about SmartCal here.
SmartDay for Mac
Unveiled at MacWorld, SmartDay Mac will be released in very soon. Now in final beta testing, you can join our mailing list and we will inform you as soon as it is available on the Mac App Store. SmartDay Mac will sync Events directly with iCal, and will also sync both Tasks and Events with SmartDay Web.
SmartDay Web
This is our cloud hub. Not only will all of our SmartDay apps across iOS and OSX devices be able to sync with each other via SmartDay Web – for free – you will also be able to use SmartDay Web on any browser, anywhere, anytime. Just sign up for this free service directly from SmartDay on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. And later this year, Droid.
SmartDay Companion
We are also planning to release ‘companion’ apps for other mobile devices such as Droid and Blackberry. More on this later…
Already connected: SmartNotes
For the past year we’ve been quietly integrating one of our most popular apps, SmartNotes, with our web service. SmartNotes rose to #1 on the app store shortly after it was launched in late 2010. It runs on both iPhone and iPad as a Universal app. You can create and manage notes and tasks with voice and photo attachments – and sync both to our web app, SmartNotes Web. This is also located as a separate tab on our SmartDay site, mySmartDay.com. If you have SmartNotes now, you can sign up NOW for free. Check it out. It’s pretty cool.
