Upgrading to iOS4

On June 22, 2010, in SmartNotes, SmartPlans, SmartTime, by Michael

Hi everyone, we are working to make our apps compatible with the new iOS4 operating system.  The next versions of SmartTime, SmartNotes, SmartPlans and SmartList will all be compatible with iOS4.  We plan to submit those to the app store this week so they should be ready for you next week.  Please note:

•  Until we release our upgrades, the current versions of SmartTime, SmartNotes, SmartPlans and SmartList may not work on iPhones that have upgraded to iOS4.  If our apps are absoutely critical to your daily work, we suggest that you do not iupgrade to iOS4 until our upgrades are available on the App Store.

• Our new versions will support iOS4 but will not support the earlier versions (OS3x and below). That means you will not be able to upgrade to the newer versions unless you have iOS4 running on your iPhones or iPod touch. Don’t worry, it’s automatic.  You can keep your existing versions of our apps until you upgrade to iOS4.

• The new versions of SmartTime, SmartNotes and SmartLists will all support Apple’s new “Local Notifications” which means you will be able to create pop-up and sound alerts.  For SmartNotes and SmartLists, this represents a completely new and extremely useful feature.

• We will support a direct sync between SmartTime and your existing iCal calendars on your iPhone, in a subsequent version.

Why we are different

We believe that technology can be used in innovative ways to help you become more productive. For example, our integrated organizers all feature SmartTime™ logic, which automatically schedules tasks into the free time between appointments in your calendar. Our project planner, SmartPlans, is actually a multi-planner: it allows you to manage multiple projects within your time/work limitations. And our latest app, ScrapBook, is actually a planning and presentation tool. Check them out. We're different for a reason.
