Technology is imperfect.  But one of its wonders is that it allows us to work from virtual offices, at least some of the time. A recent drive down the Left Coast is a case in point:  I got in the Mini, strapped the surf board on top, and headed down to San Diego, ostensibly to photograph a Lacrosse tournament and have a few meetings in the Valley, but also to have some fun along the way.  I’m just finishing up on a book that I’m writing, am finishing a new iPhone app, testing out some new ones, and so the plan was to work half-days and drive half days.  It worked out great. When the sea swelled up, I just stopped at the side of the road and jumped in.  That’s life on the Left Coast.
