Three of our apps integrate tasks into your calendar – SmartTime and SmartCal for iPhone, and SmartPad for iPad.  They do this with our SmartTime™ logic (patent pending) that takes tasks, and places them into the free time in your calendar in-between your appointments.

Here are two helpful tips for using this feature to organize your day.

Convert Tasks into Events

SmartCal, SmartTime and SmartPad all place your top-ranked tasks  into the current day calendar.  If you drag a task with your finger-tip, it automoatically converts it into an event.  This is helpful if you want to do a speciic task at a specific time.  I find it helpful because it blocks out specific time blocks for me to work on tasks.

Archive Your Completed Tasks

After you complete a Task, drag it with your finger-tip (same as mentioned above) to the time slot that you actually completed the task in. If necessary, adjust the duration by dragging the top or bottom of the task (this feature is coming in SmartCal 3, to be released early in June).

Now, you can always have an archive of when you did which tasks, right in your Calendar. Synchronize it with your iPhone calendar and see the completed tasks there.

About our Integrated Calendar apps

SmartCal is an integrated calendar and planner for the iPhone and iPod Touch.  Behind a simple interface is a bevy of advanced productivity features including automated GTD (“getting things done”), the “Day Manager” that gives you full interactive control over how much you can get done today, and adaptive SmartTime logic that takes your tasks and slots them into the free time in your calendar. It synchronizes calendar events with the iOS calendar, and tasks with Toodledo. SmartCal is the “little brother” of SmartPad for iPad.

SmartPad is an integrated organizer for iPad. In addition to the advanced productivity features of its younger sibling SmartCal, SmartPad has full-sized week and month calendars with zoom detail for individual days.  It also has a completely integrated Notes system that links notes to individual days, and lets you create new linked follow-up tasks and events just by highlighting text.

SmartTime is our original all-in-one organizer with patented logic for slotting your tasks into the free time between your appointments. Similar to SmartCal, SmartTime features the unique SmartView that combines tasks and events into a linear list that reflects how your day works.  It also has calendar features including a landscape view week and month calendar.
