This is a re-print from one of our Forum discussions. We are working on a “Multi-day” Day manager function for SmartCal and SmartPad. In the meantime, here are three different methods for planning into the future, depending on your specific needs:
Use your Task List
You can use the “Star” filter to mark tasks that you want to do the next day. In Tasks View, just tap on the right side of a task to “star” an item, then tap on the “Star” tab on the left side to show only starred items.
Convert to ADE’s
Take tasks that you want to ‘arrange’, and convert them to All Day Events. To do this, just double-tap a task, tap on the “Event” button, then select All Day = On. Then put them on the days that you want to do them. You will see them in the ADE pane at the top of each day, or in Week and Month views.
You can convert them to back into tasks on the actual day – just double-tap to Edit, and select the “Task” button. Hint: In Google Calendar, you can drag ADE’s from one day to the next. In this way, you can completely arrange your entire Week. That’s actually what I do!
Convert Tasks into Events
If you want total manual control over which Tasks get done when, just convert them to normal Events and place them in your Calendar. You can still call them “Tasks” if you wish 🙂
