Sync SmartCal for iPhone, and SmartPad for iPad, with Outlook

You can sync both SmartCal and SmartPad with Outlook easily just using iTunes (Mac or PC).  Here’s how:

Here is an updated blog about syncing with Outlook.

  1. Open iTunes and check to make sure that you have the most recent version. Do this by clicking on “Help” and then clicking on “Check for Updates.”
  2. Use the cable that came with your iPhone to connect it directly to your computer. This will automatically launch iTunes. Select “iPhone” from the iTunes source list. Click on the “Info” tab in iTunes.
  3. Click on the “Sync Outlook calendars” option. Click on “Apply” in the lower-right corner of your screen. Your computer will now sync with your iPhone based on your settings.
  4. Now sync SmartCal with your iPhone Calendar, or SmartPad with your iPad calendar. Done!
Note regarding SmartCal:  Don’t forget to create a calendar in Settings -> Calendars with the exact same name as the calendars in you iPhone calendar that you wish to sync to. Be sure to include capitalizations, spaces, etc.
Note regarding SmartPad: You will see the new calendars automatically after performing a sync. SmartPad syncs to all calendars that are in your iPad calendar.
