SmartDay 2 has new Notes, Task Management, and Calendaring features. Check these out:

Notes & Links

SmartDay for Mac OS X was released only 6 months ago.  It was the first Mac organizer to truly integrate tasks and events.  Now SmartDay 2 adds Notes. And Links.

Single-tap any task or event, either in the calendar or in the task list. You’ll see a note page pop-up. Start typing – or dictating.  The note is automatically linked to that task or event.  But you can also link it to one or more other tasks or events, or even other notes. Actually, you can link any object to any other object.

For example, you’re in a meeting that appears in your calendar. Take notes directly from the meeting.  Create a series of follow-up tasks and appointments.  Link each of those back to the original note and meeting. That way, you can always refer back to where the idea first originated.  Think of it as a form of Total Recall.

Do Today, Next Week, Next Month

SmartDay 2 has several new organizing features for quickly filtering what you want to do.

“Do Today” takes any task, anywhere in the list, and moves it up to the top.

“Do Next Week” assigns a Start Date of next Monday, and a Due Date of next Friday, with an alarm reminder of Wednesday (as a default).  That means, you will not even see the task in your list until next Monday. Then if you don’t get around to it until Wednesday (or however many days in advance that you wish to be notified , you will get a pop-up reminder.

“Do Next Month” is similar; it moves the Start Date of any task to the 1st of the next month, and the Due date to the end of the month.
